Egyptian Startup Olympics: An Amazing Opportunity for Egyptian University Students

The registration for the “Egyptian Startup Olympics” program by the Innovators and Talents Support Fund is now open. This program is aimed at students and researchers in Egyptian universities who have innovative ideas and aim to turn them into reality by establishing start-up companies. The deadline for registration is January 4, 2024.

The program focuses entirely on leading teams of students, researchers, and faculty members at universities who seek to develop their ideas and transform them into effective business models. It consists of various stages, including training courses and multiple guidance services. The program offers an excellent opportunity, including funding of up to 500,000 Egyptian pounds and services worth 500,000 pounds, in addition to participation in the GenZ TV program.

Advantages also include mentorship and guidance from experienced entrepreneurs and investors, access to a network of investors and business owners, as well as media exposure for the team’s efforts.

Participation conditions are specified for each track: 50% of the team must be undergraduate students at an Egyptian university, and the team should consist of 2-6 members. Teams including female members receive an additional factor. It is also required to provide a detailed description of the project idea, a business model, and a short video with a maximum duration of 3 minutes.

To register and participate, the team leader is required to create an account on the competition platform and upload all necessary team data and project files. Teams must refrain from participating in other competitions during the acceptance period.
