Damen Launches NFC Payment Service at Seamless North Africa 2024
Damen , a leading electronic payment service provider, has launched an NFC (Near Field Communication) payment service through its “Damen Cash” app, enabling seamless interaction between payment methods and mobile devices.
During Damen ‘s second consecutive participation in the Seamless North Africa 2024 conference and exhibition, held in Cairo from September 2-3, Eng. Sameh El Mallah ,Chief Executive Officer announced that the new service will enhance electronic payment services by offering customers a contactless payment experience.
He explained that users can activate this feature by going to their phone settings and enabling the NFC option.
Seamless 2024 Conference Insights
El-Mallah highlighted that the Seamless North Africa 2024 conference played a crucial role in showcasing the latest financial technology products, facilitating connections with major banks, and discovering new payment solutions.
He further emphasized that Damen is currently focused on strengthening its partnerships to promote a culture of electronic payments and financial inclusion.
Additionally, El-Mallah revealed that during the conference, Damen signed a cooperation protocol with AXA Insurance to provide new insurance benefits to Damen network merchants, as part of the company’s exclusive loyalty programs for customers.
Damen ‘s Expanding Role in Electronic Payments
Damen is also actively involved in managing the disbursement of ration supplies and bread to approximately 20 million citizens daily, using smart cards operated by the Egyptian government.
The company has over 23 branches across Egypt.
Furthermore, Damen offers more than 600 electronic payment and collection services through its Damen Payment platform, such as donations to charities, electricity card recharges, gas bills, and payments for mobile and landline phone bills.
These services are available through a network of over 120,000 merchants across all Egyptian governorates.
