Loop Global, a US-based provider of turnkey EV charging solutions, has inaugurated its regional office in Abu Dhabi. This new office will not only highlight Loop’s cutting-edge charging technology but also serve as the central hub for sales and distribution throughout the region.
Loop CEO Olga Shevorenkova stated, “Our goal is to become the UAE’s premier EV charging provider, using Abu Dhabi as a strategic base for our regional expansion. We plan to recruit locally and explore opportunities to establish manufacturing and R&D operations in Abu Dhabi, which would position the city as a key center of excellence for Loop.”
Loop President and Co-Founder Zack Martin added, “Our decision to set up the regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi is driven by the increasing demand for EV technologies in the local and regional markets. The UAE’s leadership has shown remarkable commitment to spearheading the global clean-energy transition, with visionary efforts towards sustainability and achieving net-zero emissions.”
Abu Dhabi has announced plans to install tens of thousands of EV charging stations by 2030. These stations will be strategically placed at retail centers, multi-family residential buildings, government offices, petrol stations, and other key locations. Reem Mall is among the first to feature Loop’s charging stations in Abu Dhabi.
