First Batch of Saudipruneur Programme Graduates: A Milestone for Saudi Entrepreneurs

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The inaugural graduation ceremony of the “Saudipruneur” programme recently took place, marking a significant milestone for Saudi entrepreneurs. This innovative programme, a collaboration between EYouth and VMS Startup Studio, is designed to discover and nurture Saudi talent in the entrepreneurial sector, providing comprehensive training and essential resources to build future startups.

Intensive Training and Expert Mentorship

Over a span of three months, participants underwent more than 33 hours of intensive training, including workshops and mentoring sessions led by industry experts. EYouth, renowned for its youth education and training initiatives in the Middle East, curated a high-quality curriculum blending practical application with contemporary entrepreneurial theories.

Competitive Selection and Project Development

Out of 460 applicants, only 50 young men and women were selected to participate in the programme. These participants, working in groups, developed 27 innovative project ideas aimed at advancing the Saudi economy. Eight standout projects reached the finals, showcasing the creativity and potential of Saudi youth.

Recognizing Outstanding Projects

During the graduation ceremony, VMS Startup Studio awarded prizes to the top three projects:

  1. First Place: Tahyaa
    • A smart platform utilizing AI to assess youth skills, identify career paths, and provide practical training.
    • Team Members: Fatima Saeed Al-Mulla, Abdullah Omar Belsharf, Ahmed Al-Fahad.
    • Prize: One-year incubation with workspace, financial and strategic consultations, and exclusive benefits.
  2. Second Place: Adalah
    • An AI-based chat solution specializing in Saudi law.
    • Team Members: Abdulrahman Al-Mutlaq, Mohammed Al-Huqail.
    • Prize: Six-month incubation journey.
  3. Third Place: Dietitian Journey
    • A specialized platform for therapeutic nutrition targeting professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Team Members: Atheer Mahmas Al-Dosari, Renad Khalid Bin Kulaib, Rowaid Jaber Al-Tabairi, Al-Jouri Al-Mahjoub, Al-Jawhara Al-Mahjoub.
    • Prize: Three-month incubation with VMS Startup Studio.

Empowering Future Saudi Entrepreneurs

The ceremony was attended by Abdullah Al-Shamrani, General Manager of the Digital Entrepreneurship Center at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Al-Shamrani emphasized the importance of supporting entrepreneurs to transform their startups into billion-dollar pioneering companies, reaffirming the center’s commitment to bolstering the Kingdom’s GDP through entrepreneurial initiatives.

Motaz Abuonq, founder and CEO of VMS Startup Studio, expressed his satisfaction with the programme’s success and the potential of Saudi youth. He highlighted the decision to increase the number of awards, providing more opportunities for incubation and market entry.

Mustafa Abdul Latif, co-founder and CEO of EYouth, praised the programme’s expansion into Saudi Arabia, driven by the belief in the capabilities of Saudi youth. He emphasized the importance of specialized training programmes tailored to the needs of young Saudis, aiming to foster a generation capable of driving positive change across various sectors.

The graduation ceremony, the culmination of the Saudipruneur programme’s efforts, featured fruitful discussions on innovation and entrepreneurship. The event was attended by prominent figures in the entrepreneurial world, successful investors, and business leaders who witnessed the promising potential of Saudi youth.
