  • The addition of JetCharge’s network will expand Ray’s footprint to more than 250 locations across the UAE, with plans to scale to 2,000 locations by the end of 2026.

Ray, the Dubai-based powerbank-sharing platform, has acquired assets of JetCharge as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the UAE’s growing powerbank-sharing market.

The acquisition includes JetCharge’s hardware infrastructure, location contracts, and operational team, with the JetCharge brand set to be fully integrated into Ray within two months.

Following the deal, Ray’s network will expand to more than 250 locations across the UAE, positioning the company among the country’s largest powerbank-sharing operators.

Ray aims to scale to 2,000 locations by the end of 2026.

The company’s platform is built around Tap-to-Pay technology, allowing users to rent powerbanks in approximately 15 seconds using bank cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay without requiring an app, internet access, or a charged phone.

Igor Kosolap, CEO and co-founder of Ray, said the acquisition strengthens the company’s operational density in Dubai and supports its regional expansion plans.

As part of the transaction, Talgat Rakhimgaliyev, former general director of JetCharge UAE, will join Ray as chief operating officer to support the company’s next growth phase.

The acquisition follows Ray’s recently announced $1.2 million seed funding round, as the company continues expanding across the GCC and international markets using its IoT-powered charging infrastructure and Tap-to-Pay platform
