- Qatar’s Snoonu announces official expansion into Kuwait to support regional growth strategy
- Snoonu aims to build a fully integrated multi-service ecosystem tailored to the Kuwaiti market as part of its wider GCC expansion plans.
Qatari super app company Snoonu has officially announced its expansion into the Kuwaiti market, marking a key milestone in its regional growth strategy as it works toward building a unified technology platform across the Gulf.
According to Hamad Mubarak Al-Hajri, Founder and CEO of Snoonu, the expansion goes beyond entering a new market, describing it as the beginning of a long-term relationship focused on developing local talent, building trust, and reinforcing the strategic importance of Kuwait within the company’s regional footprint.
Phased rollout of services
Snoonu began its operations in Kuwait on April 30, 2026, through a phased launch of its multi-service super app ecosystem.
The initial phase includes e-commerce services, delivery solutions, and home services such as car wash and maintenance, in addition to gifts and flower delivery. During the soft launch stage, the platform will also integrate restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies.
The company is expected to roll out additional services over the next three months as it works to deliver a fully integrated digital experience tailored to the Kuwaiti market.
Building local teams
A key component of the expansion is Snoonu’s focus on operational depth in Kuwait, with the company hiring around 180 employees in the local market.
This reflects its strategy of relying on local talent and strengthening on-the-ground operations.
Bader Al-Ajeel has been appointed CEO of Snoonu’s Kuwait operations, underscoring the company’s approach of combining regional expansion with local leadership.
Long-term commitment over short-term growth
Snoonu emphasized that its entry into Kuwait is not driven by short-term growth objectives, but rather by a long-term commitment to investing in people, supporting local businesses, and creating sustainable opportunities in partnership with ecosystem stakeholders.
This reflects a broader shift in regional expansion strategies, where companies are increasingly focusing not only on rapid scaling, but also on deeper market integration and the development of sustainable digital ecosystems.
Expanding GCC super app competition
Founded in Qatar, Snoonu has evolved from a delivery-focused platform into a broader super app ecosystem spanning commerce, logistics, and digital services.
Its entry into Kuwait signals intensifying competition in the GCC super app market, where companies are racing to capture users through integrated platforms that combine multiple services within a single application.
As Snoonu continues its expansion strategy, Kuwait represents a key test of its ability to replicate its model beyond its home market while balancing standardization with local market adaptation.
