- UAE’s BlueFive Capital Leads $3 Billion Funding Round for China’s Kling AI
- The funding will support AI-powered video generation technologies and accelerate Kling AI’s commercial expansion.
Abu Dhabi-based BlueFive Capital has co-led a nearly $3 billion funding round for Chinese AI video generation company Kling AI, marking one of the largest investments ever made in the rapidly expanding generative AI video sector.
The funding round values Kling AI at approximately $18 billion and includes a consortium of major investors, including Tencent, CITIC Securities, CPE, Guofang Investment, Baidu, and Alibaba Cloud, highlighting continued global demand for AI infrastructure and content-generation platforms.
For BlueFive Capital, the investment reflects the Gulf region’s growing influence in global artificial intelligence investing.
The Abu Dhabi-based investment firm, which manages approximately $15 billion in assets, said the deal aligns with its strategy of backing foundational technologies while expanding its footprint in China following the opening of its Beijing office last year.
The fresh capital is expected to accelerate Kling AI’s commercial expansion and strengthen its position as one of China’s leading developers of AI-powered video generation models, as competition in the global generative video market continues to intensify.
