Meta is moving further into AI-powered gaming with the launch of a new app called Pocket, which allows users to create small interactive apps and games using AI prompts.
The app describes itself as a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos, the name given to the interactive experiences users can build and explore inside the app.
What Is Pocket?
Pocket is designed around a simple idea: users write a text prompt describing the interactive experience or game they want to create, and the app uses AI to help turn that idea into a small playable experience.
The app also includes a scrollable discovery feed, where users can try gizmos created by others and explore different interactive projects.
Pocket’s Connection to Gizmo
The launch follows Meta’s acquisition of the team behind Gizmo, a vibe-coded gaming platform, earlier this year.
Gizmo also allows users to create small interactive experiences using written AI prompts and includes a discovery feed. Based on screenshots from Google Play, Pocket appears to share several similarities with Gizmo’s original app, which is still listed.
