The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) announced strong telecom and internet performance indicators across Makkah and the holy sites during the Hajj 1447H season, amid rising demand for digital services from pilgrims and visitors.

According to a statement published by the commission on X platform, the number of local voice calls reached approximately 17.6 million calls, while voice calls made through digital applications recorded around 2.6 million calls, reflecting the heavy use of communication services during the Hajj season.

Mobile internet speeds reached 375 Mbps, highlighting the efficiency of the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure and the readiness of telecom networks to accommodate the large number of users across the holy sites.

The average daily individual data consumption also reached approximately 1,347 MB, driven by the increasing use of smart applications, navigation services, live streaming platforms, social media, and Hajj-related digital services.
