Oman Investment Authority Acquires Stake in U.S.-Based AI Company xAI

The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) has acquired a stake in xAI, a U.S. artificial intelligence company owned by entrepreneur Elon Musk. Recognized as one of the top five companies in the AI sector, xAI continues to solidify its presence with groundbreaking advancements.

According to the Oman News Agency (ONA), the company recently achieved two major milestones: the establishment of a cutting-edge data center in the United States and the launch of the enhanced version of its platform, Grok-2.

Speaking on the development, Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of OIA, emphasized that this investment aligns with Oman’s strategic vision to harness advanced global technologies across various industries.

The partnership aims to accelerate the development of highly advanced AI systems capable of tackling diverse challenges. xAI is also nearing the completion of its next-generation model, Grok-3, which is anticipated to be one of the most sophisticated AI technologies in the world.

Distinguishing itself from competitors, the xAI platform excels in processing and analyzing real-time data. It offers cutting-edge tools and analytics designed to enhance the performance of large AI models and effectively manage diverse types of visual data, including documents, charts, graphs, and photographs.
