Cabinet Extends Exemption for Small Enterprises from Financial Obligations

The Cabinet approved on Tuesday the extension of exemption for small enterprises, employing a total of 9 workers or less, including the owner, from financial payments for a period of three years.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarified that the implementation of the decision includes exemption from financial payments for 2 of the expatriate workers in the facility if the owner is fully dedicated to working in it and registered in social insurance.

Furthermore, the decision includes exemption from financial payments for 4 of the expatriate workers in the facility if the owner is fully dedicated to working in it and registered in social insurance, in addition to the presence of at least one dedicated Saudi worker registered in social insurance (other than the owner).

The maximum limit for the number of exempted expatriate workers must not be exceeded.

The decision aims to support the growth of small enterprises and ensure their continuity in the job market.
