Blockscout Raises $3 Million in Seed Round Led by 1kx
Blockscout, a UAE-based company, has successfully secured $3 million in seed funding, led by 1kx.
Blockscout is an open-source block explorer designed for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains.
The funds will be used to support new projects seeking “explorer-as-a-service” customization, enhance user experience, and expand the company’s product offerings.
Blockscout aims to revolutionize how blockchain data is provided by offering open-source tools that are easily accessible to both developers and end-users.
Block explorers are crucial for those seeking reliable and up-to-date blockchain data, but many are not accessible due to high costs and limited customization options.
Blockscout intends to change this by offering open and freely available tools.
The company provides a comprehensive suite of products for verifying and inspecting transactions, including robust developer tools and a user-friendly gateway for applications and users.
To date, Blockscout has covered over 600 networks and continues to expand.
Igor Barinov, the Founder and CEO of Blockscout, commented, “Blockscout will become the default setting for all new and existing EVM chains.
We are on our way to becoming the primary platform for verifying blockchain information and exploring decentralized applications safely.
As one of the few open-source players, we offer unmatched transparency and accessibility that serve everyone in the crypto space, from developers to everyday users.”
Chains can either pay Blockscout to run an explorer on their behalf or host their own server using Blockscout’s open-source software.
Their support for smart wallet transactions and advanced API capabilities has attracted many players in the blockchain ecosystem.
Blockscout is now the standard solution for RaaS providers such as Conduit, AltLayer, Gelato, Chainstack, and Astria, who integrate its services to provide a ready-to-use block explorer for their clients. The company is also deeply integrated into the L2 rollup ecosystem.
Prominent entities like Arbitrum, Filecoin, OP, Base, and Immutable are collaborating with Blockscout, with some partnerships lasting for extended periods.
For instance, Blockscout has been working closely with Optimism for over two years, providing crucial information for the Bedrock upgrade, for which the community awarded them a Retro Grant.
Recently, Blockscout announced a new interface with Arbitrum One, simplifying data access for DAOs, NFTs, and decentralized applications across Arbitrum.
Blockscout is an open-source block explorer for EVM chains. It supports over 600 networks and offers developers smart contract verification tools and streamlined APIs for scanning blocks, transactions, accounts, and tokens.
The company’s new DAppscout marketplace enables secure discovery, exploration, and interaction with decentralized applications.
