Hala UAE Expands into Egypt in Partnership with Mwasalat Misr
Hala UAE, the Emirati transportation company, has announced its plans to enter the Egyptian market in collaboration with local partner Mwasalat Misr.
Established in 2019 through a partnership between Careem and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, Hala has signed a memorandum of understanding with Mwasalat Misr, a provider of smart transportation and shared mobility solutions.
Hala aims to introduce electronic taxi solutions and leverage advanced technologies to enhance the travel experience for its customers in Egypt, particularly in new cities, including the New Administrative Capital.
Hala, Dubai’s premier e-hailing taxi service, has unveiled its expansion plans into the Egyptian market in partnership with local collaborator Mwasalat Misr.
The formalization of this partnership was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding at Hala’s headquarters in Dubai.
Top executives from both companies attended the signing ceremony, including Khaled Nasibah, CEO of Hala, and Yasser Sedky, CEO of Mwasalat Misr.
As part of the agreement, Hala will explore opportunities in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, a pioneering city project situated east of Cairo and under development since 2015, alongside other cities.
Hala aims to deliver advanced solutions and harness modern technologies to enhance the travel experience for its customers in Egypt.

Since its launch in 2019, Hala has played a pivotal role in the transportation revolution in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

In the first quarter of 2024, Hala witnessed a 20% increase in new user sign-ups compared to the same period last year.
To enhance customer experience, Hala collaborates with key partners to introduce innovations that improve daily life, including digital screens inside vehicles.
Ensuring continuous technical support, learning, and development for captains, Hala has trained over 2,577 captains since January 2024.
