GITEX Africa 2024 Attracts Thousands of Visitors and Hundreds of Exhibitors from Around the World

For the second consecutive year, Marrakech hosts the GITEX Africa 2024 exhibition, which has become an annual tradition. This international technology event featured participation from dozens of institutions and companies from various countries around the world.

This global event was marked by the significant presence of international, Arab, and Moroccan personalities who were hosted at the GITEX 2024 conferences and seminars, scheduled for May 29, 30, and 31 this year. It is noteworthy that this annual event is organized and supervised by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in partnership with the Digital Development Agency of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Among the many institutions and companies that had a strong presence and attracted thousands of visitors was the leading Saudi technology and digital solutions company, which announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with “Senegal Numerique SA Company” The memorandum aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore mutual cooperation opportunities by leveraging the capabilities of both parties in the targeted markets.

According to the memorandum, signed by Mr. Alameen Shouki Alhazmi, CEO of Integrated Solutions, representing “Elm,” and Sheikh Bakhoum, General Manager, representing “Senegal Numerique SA Company,” in the presence of team members from both sides, “Elm” will collaborate with Senegal Digital to establish and operate a digital archiving center, and find financial partners to fund it, as well as develop the IT infrastructure, benefiting government entities in Senegal. The agreement also stipulates exploring other cooperation opportunities that the parties may agree upon during its term. The signing of this memorandum aligns with “Elm’s” efforts to leverage its technical expertise and knowledge to empower and enhance the activities of local companies and drive digital transformation, in accordance with the cooperation areas outlined in the memorandum.

Mr. Majid bin Saad Al-Araifi, the official spokesperson at “Elm” and Executive Vice President for Marketing, said, “We are pleased to sign a memorandum of understanding with ‘Senegal Digital Company’ as an important strategic step in ‘Elm’s’ journey towards enhancing digital transformation in the African continent. We hope this partnership will result in tangible economic and social benefits that contribute to driving development by harnessing the innovative and technical solutions that ‘Elm’ possesses.”

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between “Elm” and “Senegal Numerique SA Company” underscores the significance of the GITEX Africa 2024 exhibition as a leading platform that brings together various institutions and companies operating in the digital technology field, providing fertile ground for enhancing communication and cooperation in light of the growing importance of digitization in the African continent, which is witnessing a significant influx of investments in the technology sector.

GITEX Africa 2024 will feature a series of lectures and seminars on the latest technological developments in cybersecurity, digital finance, artificial intelligence, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and investments. This event is attended by many major regional and global companies presenting the latest innovations and technological solutions.
