Tamwilcom has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Flat6Labs, one of the leading supporters of startup growth in the Middle East and North Africa region.

The signing took place during the GITEX Africa 2025 exhibition.

Objectives of the Agreement

The partnership aims to accelerate the development of Morocco’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through tailored support and mentoring programs.

This initiative follows an agreement signed with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in December 2023, which set out a roadmap to support local startups—particularly in their early stages—by enabling access to funding and enhancing their operational capabilities.

The initiative will focus on supporting startups operating in strategically important sectors such as AgriTech, FinTech, Industry 4.0, GreenTech, digital health, artificial intelligence, and big data.

This reflects the commitment of all stakeholders to strengthening the foundations of a sustainable and digital national economy.

Officials’ Statements

In a statement, Hicham Zanati Serghini, General Manager of Tamwilcom, said:

“This partnership extends our institution’s efforts to support innovative Moroccan enterprises”.

Flat6Labs’ experience will bring added value to startups at a crucial stage of their growth, particularly in terms of fundraising and market expansion.”

For his part, David Tinel, IFC’s Regional Representative for the Maghreb region, emphasized the importance of the partnership in enhancing Morocco’s investment climate.

He noted that facilitating early-stage access to funding is a critical factor in driving innovation and private sector-led economic growth.

Flat6Labs will be tasked with designing and implementing a comprehensive support program that includes technical mentoring, financial guidance, and investment readiness, enabling startups to achieve real growth both locally and internationally.

Yahya Houri, Head of Programs at Flat6Labs, stated:

“We aim to support high-impact startups by equipping them with the right growth tools and helping them build solid business models that attract investors and ensure long-term sustainability.”

This partnership underscores the stakeholders’ commitment to building a Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem rooted in innovation—capable of keeping pace with digital transformation and meeting the country’s development aspirations in the coming years.
