EdVentures, the investment arm of Nahdet Misr Group, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation through its Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning, has launched the third cohort of the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship in Egypt.

The new cohort includes 13 growth-stage startups working across different areas of education technology, bringing the total number of startups supported by the program in Egypt to 36 across three consecutive cohorts.

Supporting Promising African EdTech Startups

The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship is an entrepreneurship acceleration program designed to support promising African EdTech companies by providing a comprehensive support system that includes institutional and financial support, specialized mentorship, and access to knowledge and expertise in learning science.

The program aims to help participating startups scale their solutions, build sustainable business models, and increase their social impact, particularly in markets where access to quality and inclusive education remains a major challenge.

The third cohort in Egypt brings together startups working in artificial intelligence, healthcare education, early childhood learning, workforce readiness, women’s economic empowerment, social and emotional learning, accessible education for persons with disabilities, and solutions that connect education with employment opportunities.

Dalia Ibrahim: Education Development Requires Strong Partnerships

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Dalia Ibrahim, Founder and CEO of EdVentures, said:

With the launch of the third cohort, we are proud to continue supporting a growing network of founders who are developing solutions that enhance learning, improve employability, and support the economic participation of young people.”
