The board of directors of Saudi Venture Capital Company SVC has announced the appointment of Nora bint Mohammed Al Sarhan as chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2026.
The appointment comes as part of a leadership succession plan prepared and supervised by the board to ensure an organized institutional transition of leadership and support the company’s continued growth and role within Saudi Arabia’s private investment ecosystem.
Nora Al Sarhan brings extensive experience in private investment management and financial advisory. She joined SVC in June 2019 and has held several leadership positions within the company, most recently serving as deputy CEO and chief investment officer.
During her tenure at SVC, Al Sarhan played a key role in developing the company’s strategy and leading its investment agenda. She also oversaw strategic matters, governance, and institutional performance, reflecting her experience in investment management and corporate development.
The board expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Nabeel Abdulqader Koshak for his significant efforts and contributions during his tenure as CEO since 2019. The board highlighted his central role in establishing the company’s operations, developing its capabilities, building its talent base, and strengthening its position as a key market maker within Saudi Arabia’s private investment ecosystem.
Under Dr. Koshak’s leadership, SVC witnessed notable growth in its investment activity, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s regional leadership in venture capital. He also led the development of the company’s leadership succession plan, with Al Sarhan’s appointment marking a key outcome of that institutional approach.
The board confirmed that Dr. Koshak will continue to support the company’s journey through his ongoing membership on the board of directors.
SVC is one of Saudi Arabia’s leading investment entities. Over the past years, its strategy has contributed to Saudi Arabia ranking first in the region in venture capital investment for the third consecutive year in 2025.
Venture capital investment in the Kingdom has grown around 26 times compared with 2018. SVC has invested in more than 65 funds, including venture capital, private equity, venture debt, and private debt funds.
These funds have contributed to investments in more than 1,000 startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, supporting the diversification of the national economy and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
