  • Humain invested $3 billion in xAI during a Series E funding round, becoming a key shareholder in the company.
  • The deal coincided with SpaceX’s acquisition of xAI in February, resulting in the direct conversion of Humain’s investment into shares in SpaceX.
  • This investment strengthens Humain’s role as a global player in the AI ecosystem and supports its plans to deploy Grok models and build advanced data centers in the Kingdom.

Humain, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced a strategic investment of $3 billion in xAI as part of a Series E funding round. This pivotal move preceded SpaceX’s acquisition of xAI in early February, subsequently leading to the conversion of Humain’s stake into shares in SpaceX as a key minority shareholder.

Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain, stated that this investment reflects a firm belief in the transformative role of artificial intelligence and the company’s ability to support high-impact technical platforms. This strategic direction aims to strengthen the company’s position as a global investor covering next-generation data centers, high-performance cloud infrastructure, and advanced AI models.

This investment is an extension of a broad strategic partnership launched in November 2025, which aims to develop over 500 MW of advanced computing infrastructure and deploy xAI’s “Grok” models within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With this deal, Humain transitions from a local development partner to a major global stakeholder in one of the world’s most significant tech ecosystems, while continuing to explore new investment opportunities to bolster its leadership in the digital infrastructure sector.
