Wa’ed Ventures, the venture capital arm of Saudi Aramco, has announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

The agreement was signed during the iktva 2025 event, part of the program to enhance total added value in the supply sector.

This partnership aims to accelerate localization efforts and boost strategic investments in high-potential startups focused on sustainability.

These startups emerge from the ministry’s innovation-driven programs in agriculture, water, and environmental sectors.

In a post on Wa’ed’s LinkedIn account, the fund reaffirmed its commitment to developing the venture capital ecosystem in the Kingdom:

“Together, we aim to accelerate localization and strategic investments in high-potential hashtag sustainability startups emerging from the Ministry’s programs, strengthening our shared commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s VC ecosystem”.

Recent Investment:

Reinforcing its commitment, the fund recently invested SAR 6 million in Techrar, a graduate of the Sunbolah accelerator program.

  • sahabah: Focused on developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the water sector by empowering entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors to offer innovative solutions and accelerate sector growth.
  • Sedrah: A program designed to build, strengthen, and expand the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the environmental sector.

It supports entrepreneurs and investors in developing innovative environmental solutions, creating a comprehensive educational environment that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship skills.

It is a holistic initiative contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 environmental goals.
