BECO Capital Secures $20 Million Investment from Saudi Venture Capital to Drive Innovation in the Kingdom’s Startup Sector
BECO Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm, has announced a $20 million investment from the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC), further solidifying its commitment to supporting fast-growing startups in Saudi Arabia and the broader region.
This investment will specifically support tech companies in the region, particularly those operating in Saudi Arabia.
“We are extremely proud of our partnership with the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC), an organization we deeply respect, and whose values and principles align closely with ours,” said Danny Frija, Co-Founder and CEO of BECO Capital.
“This partnership with the SVC team is a key milestone for us, and we look forward to making a positive impact together on the startup ecosystem in Saudi Arabia over the coming years.”
The SVC’s investment aligns with BECO Capital’s active role in the Saudi startup ecosystem in recent years, where the firm has been a lead investor in some of the most promising tech startups in the Kingdom.
Recent investments include leading funding rounds for BRKZ, a construction technology platform; Ejari, a real estate technology (PropTech) company; and Mala, a Riyadh-based fintech startup.
“BECO Capital has seen tangible success in executing exit strategies, including a recent exit with a 17x return on investment in Propertify,” said Yousef Hammad, Managing Partner at BECO Capital. “Our investment strategy remains focused on building a strong, sustainable, and impactful investment ecosystem.”
As part of Beco Capital’s ongoing engagement with the tech sector in the region Dany Farha recently participated in a panel discussion at the Future Investment Initiative (FII), where he spoke about the evolving fundraising environment and BECO’s 12-year journey in venture capital.
BECO Capital’s investment strategy targets early-stage startups, ranging from Seed to Series A rounds, with a primary focus on the Saudi market.
While the firm is not limited to any specific sector, it maintains clear investment theses across several verticals.
Currently, BECO Capital is rolling out a comprehensive four-part series on the development and implications of artificial intelligence in the region, with the first two parts already published.
The partnership between BECO Capital and the Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC) marks a significant step forward in strengthening the startup ecosystem in the region.
It brings together BECO Capital’s successful track record in venture capital investment with its commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovative startups in Saudi Arabia.
