TotalEnergies Announces Three Entrepreneurs as Winners of the Startupper of the Year Challenge
TotalEnergies Marketing Egypt has revealed the three winners of the fourth edition of the “Startupper of the Year Challenge by Total Energies,” recognizing innovative entrepreneurs after an evaluation by local and international juries across 32 participating countries.
The winners were honored during the company’s 100th-anniversary celebrations, with each receiving an award of EGP 400,000, bringing the total prize amount to EGP 1.2 million.
The winners of the competition are:
- Esraa Abdallah in the “Innov’Up” category for Best Entrepreneur with her project, “Super Abla”, a platform that teaches Arabic to children aged 2 to 8, using everyday language and connecting them with their culture, history, and geography.
- Mohamed Aboklela in the “Cycle’Up” category for Best Circular Economy Project with “Tilestic”, a project that developed an industrial process and chemical compound to recycle single-use plastic waste into eco-friendly building materials, such as interlocking tiles, paving tiles, and roofing tiles.
- Abdallah Kamel in the “Power’Up” category for Best Sustainable and Affordable Energy Project with “Viridi”, a venture offering high-capacity portable chargers for electric vehicles, featuring wide compatibility, advanced safety, and reliable, flexible charging options.
TotalEnergies is offering tools to support the winners in further developing their projects.
In addition to the financial award, the winners will receive personalized support through Ashoka Arab World and media exposure to raise awareness of their innovative solutions.
In Egypt, 200 applications were submitted, with 80 complete entries. Fifteen finalists presented their projects to a panel of local experts.
The competition saw participation from over 40,000 applicants across 32 African countries, with 100 entrepreneurs honored from various nations for their innovative contributions.
