Tamkeen Launches New Edition of “Mashroo3i” Program to Support Entrepreneurship in Bahrain

Tamkeen has announced the opening of applications for the new cohort of its “Mashroo3i” program, a leading initiative aimed at supporting innovative entrepreneurial ideas in Bahrain. The program seeks to foster a culture of entrepreneurship by enabling individuals to transform their creative ideas into successful business ventures.

The updated version of the “Mashroo3i” program is open to individuals of all ages, starting from 18 years old, whether they have entrepreneurial ideas or run startup companies. The program provides participants with specialized training and consulting support to develop their businesses, along with financial grants for those who qualify for the final stages, helping them launch their projects.

Ali Hassan, Executive Director of Programs and Partnerships Development at Tamkeen, explained that the “Mashroo3i” program aims to support and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in line with Tamkeen’s strategy to bolster the private sector and stimulate economic growth. He added, “The new edition of the program will offer unique opportunities for innovators to turn their ideas into tangible businesses by benefiting from the expertise of a select group of mentors and entrepreneurs.”

It is worth noting that the previous edition of the program saw 28 participants advance to the final stages. The current program will run for a total of ten weeks, divided into two main phases. The first phase, “Idea Generation,” will last three weeks, offering specialized training sessions to help participants develop their ideas. The second phase, which will run for seven weeks, will include intensive consulting sessions aimed at supporting startups and developing prototype business models.

The program will conclude with the “Demo Day,” where participants will present their developed business models to potential investors and a panel of experts. Finalists will have the opportunity to receive funding grants to turn their ideas into established businesses, as well as consulting support and access to a valuable network of professional connections.

To apply for the “Mashroo3i” program, individuals or teams can submit their applications via the program’s page on Tamkeen’s official website: www.tamkeen.bh.
