HeroGo Secures Funding to Boost Sustainability and Reduce Food Waste in the UAE
HeroGo, a UAE-based food tech company, has secured undisclosed funding from AngelSpark. Founded in 2020, HeroGo aims to empower businesses and consumers by providing access to surplus food from local farmers and wholesalers at reduced prices. The company contributes to sustainability and reduces food waste through its digital platform, which offers a subscription model for accessing these food resources.
HeroGo recently graduated from the Sandbox program run by Oraseya Capital earlier this month. This achievement enhances HeroGo’s market position and reflects its potential in the food tech sector, attracting the attention of investors looking for opportunities in sustainability.
AngelSpark announced that this new investment raises its portfolio to seven startups, with expectations to add another company in the coming weeks. This investment strengthens AngelSpark’s position as one of the most active early-stage investors in the UAE and ranks it third in early-stage investments in the MENA region, according to a recent report by MAGNiTT.
