Moroccan Tookeez Secures $1.5 Million Funding Round

Tookeez is a pioneer in loyalty technology, having recently announced the closure of a $1.5 million funding round. This achievement was supported by the Azur Innovation Fund, known for encouraging high-ambition startups, especially those aiming to enhance customer loyalty experiences in Africa and the Middle East and North Africa regions. Traditional loyalty programs often frustrate consumers due to the slow accumulation of points and the difficulties encountered when attempting to redeem them for desired rewards, in addition to the limited availability of these rewards. From this premise, the idea of founding Tookeez came from Hisham Imadi and the sisters Wiame and Siham Majd, who have extensive experience in information technology and company founding, including the Moroccan company specializing in loyalty programs, 2WLS.

Tookeez offers an innovative solution by unifying loyalty points from multiple brands within a single wallet that can be used across a wide network of partners and stores, creating added value for brands, merchants, and customers alike. Tookeez represents a qualitative leap in the world of loyalty programs, providing a global digital value unit for point conversion, allowing for flexible use.

Thanks to this funding, Tookeez plans to accelerate its expansion process in Morocco and across the African continent and the Middle East and North Africa region, continuing to invest in technological development, especially in the field of blockchain technology. A new branch is expected to open in a second African country by 2026.

Siham Majd, the CEO of Tookeez, expressed her gratitude for the investors’ trust, noting that this funding round represents an important step in the company’s development. The goal is to reach four million active members by 2028, to make Tookeez a true ecosystem for economic and financial inclusion on the continent. For his part, Adnan Filali, head of the Azur Innovation Fund, expressed his pride in partnering with Tookeez, which is redefining the customer loyalty system, emphasizing the desire to support entrepreneurs who have a significant impact on the world.
