Uvera has announced the successful close of its Seed funding round, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey to reduce food waste and improve food safety.

The round included participation from Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures, LAB7 by aramco, Core Vision Investment, and a group of strategic angel investors.

From a Research Idea to a Growing Startup

Uvera began as a research idea during the PhD journey of its Founder and CEO, Dr. Asrar Damdam. Today, it has grown into a company with a clear mission: to reduce food waste and enhance food safety through innovative solutions.

Reflecting on the milestone, Dr. Damdam highlighted that building a company has never been only about raising capital. For Uvera, it has also been about finding partners who genuinely believe in the same mission and are committed to creating meaningful, long-term impact.

Strategic Partners Supporting Uvera’s Next Chapter

The participation of investors such as Morgan Stanley Inclusive & Sustainable Ventures, LAB7 by aramco, and Core Vision Investment reflects growing confidence in Uvera’s vision and its potential within the food technology and sustainability sectors.

Through this funding round, Uvera is entering a new phase of growth, with stronger momentum to scale its solutions, expand its impact, and continue addressing the urgent challenges of food waste and food safety.

A Memorable Moment on the Nasdaq Billboard

One of the key moments shared by Dr. Damdam was seeing Uvera featured on the Nasdaq billboard in Times Square in celebration of Morgan Stanley’s investment.

She described the moment as a powerful reminder of how far a simple research idea can go when the right people believe in it and support its growth.

More Than Capital

For Uvera, this Seed round represents more than financial backing. It marks the beginning of a new chapter with strategic partners who share the company’s values and believe in its long-term mission.

Dr. Damdam also extended her gratitude to the Uvera team, investors, customers, advisors, family, and friends, noting that this milestone belongs to everyone who has been part of the company’s journey.

Uvera Enters a New Phase of Growth

With the close of its Seed funding round, Uvera is moving into a new stage of growth, supported by partners who believe in its mission to reduce food waste and improve food safety.

The milestone further strengthens Uvera’s position as a promising startup in food technology and sustainability. It is also one of the outcomes of Sunbulah, reflecting the role of entrepreneurship and innovation support programs in helping research-driven ideas evolve into impactful companies.
