The Saudi Council of Ministers, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has announced the extension of the National Technology Develepment Program “NTDP” until 2030, for an additional five-year term.
The renewal aims to continue building a more impactful and sustainable national technology ecosystem.
Key achievements of the program since its establishment
The official account of ” NTDP” on the social media platform “X” highlighted the most notable results achieved over previous periods.
These include the creation of more than 17,000 new job opportunities, contributing to revenues exceeding SAR 21 billion (equivalent to more than USD 5.6 billion), thereby strengthening the Kingdom’s GDP.
The program has also supported 3,370 technology companies, including 569 artificial intelligence startups, in addition to 1,344 tech startups that have already been launched.
Furthermore, the program has provided support to around 3,556 entrepreneurs and helped attract 212 technology companies to the Kingdom.
A total support value of SAR 13.3 billion (around USD 3.55 billion) has been provided to enable private-sector companies.
