- Tego Tender Seeks to Position Egypt as a Link to the Gulf in Procurement
Tego Tender, an Egyptian application specializing in procurement and tenders, aims to enhance connectivity between companies across the Arab region within the initial years of its launch.
Days Away from Launch
Nardeen Philip, the CEO and founder, revealed in an exclusive interview with EntArabi the company’s plans to start operations in Cairo within its first year.
She stated that the platform has been in a trial phase since December and is set to begin full-scale operations in the coming weeks.
Tackling Procurement and Tenders Challenges
Philip shared that the idea for the platform emerged during her participation in a 2022 training program on corruption in the procurement and tenders sector, as part of the “Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Forum” in Alexandria.
The app is designed to offer innovative digital solutions that connect suppliers and traders, helping to reduce waste and deliver services directly to targeted groups.
Value-Added Services
She highlighted that Tego Tender is not just a procurement-focused platform but also provides optimal pricing services, adding significant value to the procurement sector.
Cairo as a Launchpad
Philip emphasized that Cairo was chosen as the starting point due to its status as a vital hub for procurement and commercial transactions.
She further stated that the company aims to position Egypt as a key link to the Gulf region, particularly Saudi Arabia, in the fields of procurement and tenders.
Building Partnerships
The platform also leverages the Startup Sync application, developed by Edafa Venture Capital, to connect with exporters and suppliers and foster strong partnership.
