Writer, a leader in generative AI solutions, recently announced the completion of its Series C funding round, raising $200 million and pushing its valuation to $1.9 billion. This round saw participation from prominent global venture capital firms such as Premji Invest and Radical Ventures, alongside previous investor ICONIQ Growth, with additional support from industry giants including Salesforce Ventures, Adobe Ventures, B Capital, Citi Ventures, IBM Ventures, and Workday Ventures.
May Habib, Co-Founder and CEO of Writer emphasized that the company’s mission goes beyond developing AI applications and agents that perform tasks. Instead, Writer aims to create advanced AI systems that support critical enterprise functions. She highlighted that hundreds of major corporations worldwide rely on Writer to deliver generative AI solutions that address complex business challenges and drive substantial ROI.
Writer plans to leverage the new funding to accelerate the development of secure, adaptable, and autonomous AI solutions, capable of handling complex organizational scenarios. The company also intends to focus on creating AI tools that enable seamless planning and execution of intricate workflows across teams and systems within enterprises. This funding will further support Writer’s expansion into high-demand AI applications for time-intensive business tasks within the healthcare, retail, and financial services sectors.
