Tomorrow Marks the Launch of Carerha Summit 2024 to Enhance Women’s Empowerment in the Middle East and North Africa
The “Carerha Summit 2024” the platform specialized in enhancing and empowering women in the Middle East and North Africa, kicks off tomorrow under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council for Women, supported by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID Business Egypt) and implemented by DAI. The summit aims to highlight the importance of initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and promoting inclusive economic growth in the region.
The summit will be held on November 8 and 9, 2024, at “Capital Promenade” in Sheikh Zayed, hosting a selection of prominent figures such as Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity; Mervat Abou Ouf from the National Council for Women; Walid Hassouna, CEO of valU and Chairman of PayTabs Egypt; Mohamed El Shabrawy, co-founder of Sympl platform; and Hala Abdel Wadood, CEO of Moharram & Partners. This distinguished presence underscores their commitment to enhancing the role of women and their participation in various vital sectors, providing insights into the challenges women face and ways to overcome them.

The second day of the summit continues to focus on partnering with men to support women’s empowerment, featuring leaders like Dave Hughes, General Manager of L’Oréal Egypt, and Hisham Radwan, General Manager of Danone Egypt. The event schedule also includes specialized sessions such as “Enhancing Inclusivity and Sustainability” with the participation of Mai Saeed from MasterCard and Dr. Dalia Abdel Kader from the Commercial International Bank (CIB), in addition to specialized workshops on building a strong corporate reputation.
