Zid Empowers Merchants to Access Amazon’s Global Platform and Sell Products in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf
Zid, a leader in e-commerce and retail technology, has announced a partnership with Amazon to support and enable merchants by connecting their stores to Amazon’s platform, reaching millions of customers and selling their products in Saudi Arabia and the UAE in the initial phase, with plans to expand into other markets later.
This collaboration provides Zid users with exclusive and expedited access, enhancing the ease of product display and management from one centralized location without additional effort.
This is the first initiative of its kind, linking e-commerce platforms with e-commerce giants like Amazon to empower Zid merchants to reach an active, established customer base on the platform. This initiative allows Zid merchants to leverage Amazon’s reputation and the confidence of its millions of customers. Mazen Al-Darabb, Co-Founder and CEO of Zid, commented on the partnership: “The connection between Zid and Amazon marks a pivotal moment for Saudi merchants, empowering them to launch their businesses effortlessly and instantly reach a new customer base to drive their revenue. Our belief in modern commerce is based on utilizing all available platforms and channels.
The Zid team’s technology allows merchants to access multiple sales channels and markets and manage orders, all in one place, without additional effort. Zid merchants are known for their dedication to designing and creating competitive products across different sectors. We anticipate their presence on these platforms will enhance local merchants’ competitiveness locally, regionally, and globally, in line with Saudi Arabia’s vision to support local content and small and medium enterprises.”
This accomplishment aligns with Zid’s mission to accelerate the digital transformation of the retail sector in Saudi Arabia by providing merchants with the latest technologies that enable them to launch and grow their businesses with ease. This effort also directly contributes to achieving the economic diversification objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, including increasing exports and promoting local content.
Zid’s partnership with Amazon is critical as Saudi Arabia’s retail and e-commerce markets continue to grow at an impressive rate of 30-40% annually. Retail sector investments are projected to reach SAR 596 billion (USD 158.93 billion) by the end of 2024, while e-commerce investments are expected to grow to SAR 82.5 billion (USD 22 billion) by 2027, driven by increased consumer demand for digital solutions. This integration allows local merchants to leverage these markets and expand through multiple sales channels, helping them succeed in the digital economy and promote local content alongside other international products on the platforms.
Zid’s platform is characterized by a secure, integrated ecosystem that enables merchants to create stores and sell products across all digital and traditional sales channels. Zid provides solutions for receiving payments, integration with digital marketing platforms, shipping solutions, and access to growth financing from Zid.
