  • VOLZ Completes a DZD 600 Million Funding Round Led by Tell Group with GIBA Participation
  • The Round Includes Babaha Industrial Group, Owner of the “Kedila” Water Brand
  • The Deal Supports VOLZ’s Expansion Plans and Simplifies Travel Services for Algerian Citizens

Algerian travel technology company VOLZ has completed a funding round worth DZD 600 million (approximately $5 million), led by Tell Group with participation from GIBA Group, the industrial parent company of the bottled water brand Guedila.

The funding round was announced on the sidelines of the Africa Startup Conference 2025 held in Algeria.

The investment will support VOLZ’s technology-driven travel services and marks a successful exit for the Algerian Startup Fund (ASF), delivering returns exceeding three times its initial investment, which was funded in Algerian dinars.

The new capital will enable VOLZ to expand its operations within the local market and launch new products, including corporate travel management solutions, while also opening new markets across North and West Africa.

The round further strengthens the company’s position as a trusted regional travel platform.

VOLZ aims to become Algeria’s first unicorn and the most reliable “travel companion” for users across Africa.

Commenting on the round, Mohamed Abdelhadi Mezzi, CEO of VOLZ, said the investment represents a pivotal milestone for the company, enabling it to empower Algerian travelers, simplify travel services, and make them more accessible to all.

About VOLZ

VOLZ also offers flight comparison services across multiple airlines, efficient and responsive customer support, and ticket delivery services.

The company is positioning itself to reshape travel services in North and West Africa, with a long-term vision to redefine regional travel standards.
