Wanaut, a groundbreaking Moroccan platform, has recently completed a significant funding round, securing 2 million Moroccan Dirhams (MDH) from Augustulus Ventures. This investment by the Moroccan private fund, focused on new technologies and innovation, marks a pivotal moment for Wanaut and positions the leisure industries as a key driver of economic development.
Established in 2019 by a team of French-Moroccan entrepreneurs with diverse backgrounds in engineering, finance, and marketing, Wanaut aims to create a comprehensive experiential ecosystem. Its mission is to support experienced creators and event organizers by providing integrated solutions to fully harness their potential.
As an innovative digital platform, Wanaut stands out by offering users the opportunity to discover, book, and share extraordinary experiences in various destinations. Ayoub Koutar, CEO and co-founder of Wanaut, states, “At the heart of our offering, we have developed a unique platform that acts both as a social network highlighting experiences, and as a connector between creators of experiences in sports, culture, and tourism, and those seeking to enjoy exceptional moments such as events, travels, concerts, or festivals.”
Innovation and Future Economic Impact
The fundraising aims to inject new energy to bolster the development of the leisure industry. Wanaut will provide a comprehensive platform for experience creators, featuring a detailed dashboard, a user-friendly reservation management system, a module for creating customizable forms, and payment and billing tools to simplify their operations.
For its development, Wanaut benefits from the support of the Kluster CFCIM, an incubator of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, and Accelab, a startup accelerator specialized in Sports and Tourism led by Othmane Ibn Ghazala, an entrepreneur and expert in these sectors.
