Next week marks the kickoff of the twenty-ninth edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceutical and Technological Conference and Exhibition – DUPHAT 2024. The event will run for three days from January 9th to 11th at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Recognized as the largest gathering of pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East and Africa, this year’s edition is expected to be the biggest yet, attracting over 32,000 visitors and participants from around the world.

Over the past 28 years, DUPHAT has served as a unique global platform bringing together experts in the pharmaceutical sector.

The exhibition facilitates exceptional opportunities for drug suppliers and industry leaders to showcase the latest pharmaceutical products, technologies, and solutions.

DUPHAT also provides a forum for exchanging information, sharing the latest ideas, insights, and innovations in the pharmaceutical sector and its technologies, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in medicines and patient care.

The pharmaceutical market in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to exceed $4.7 billion by 2025, indicating significant growth of 27% over the past five years.

The UAE offers more than 2,500 locally produced medicines, reflecting the country’s strong and distinctive manufacturing capabilities in the pharmaceutical sector.

Global estimates suggest that the pharmaceutical market in the Middle East and North Africa surpasses $50 billion, reinforcing the region’s position in the global pharmaceutical and drug industry.

DUPHAT goes beyond being a pharmaceutical event; it embodies an inspirational journey where knowledge meets innovation, shaping a brighter and healthier future for healthcare.

DUPHAT 2024 will host participants from 95 countries worldwide, including 150 speakers delivering 120 lectures and 16 workshops.

The event will also feature university students presenting 350 scientific posters on the latest medical research and innovations in the sector.

The exhibition will span halls 1 to 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, accompanied by a conference in Sheikh Maktoum Hall hosting various workshops.

Participants will earn 63 Continuing Medical Education (CME) points accredited by the Dubai Health Authority and 22 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points from the Society of Hospital Pharmacists in Australia.

Concurrently, the event will host “The Pharma Business Hub,” allowing participants to connect with companies, schedule business meetings, and engage directly with high-level decision-makers from major DUPHAT exhibitors.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, the CEO of DUPHAT, expressed, “DUPHAT 2024 continues its commitment to enhance the highest standards in the pharmaceutical industry by providing high-quality products and innovative technology.

This year marks a significant achievement for DUPHAT 2024, reaching its largest size since its inception, reinforcing the value and global status of this event.”

As a beacon of innovation, DUPHAT 2024 will present a vast array of medical information and research, contributing to propelling the pharmaceutical industry towards new horizons.

It serves as a key platform for development and a fundamental platform for trade, promoting communication in one of the fastest-evolving sectors.

DUPHAT 2024 brings together regional and international experts, professionals, marketing specialists, academics, researchers, scientists, students, and healthcare professionals for effective participation and communication.

This enhances knowledge and experience exchange in the ever-evolving world of pharmaceuticals, contributing to the continuous progress of the pharmacy profession to face challenges and meet patient expectations even in the most challenging circumstances.
