Geidea signs a joint cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Communications to implement Egypt’s digital generations initiatives
As part of Egypt’s digital strategy to support the development of the Egyptian workforce, leading financial technology company “Geidea” announced the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The collaboration aims to enhance joint efforts in areas of common interest, particularly those related to the Digital Egypt Initiatives.
These initiatives are designed to empower the next generation of Egyptian youth to become global leaders in information and communication technology, capable of implementing Egypt’s digital strategy.
The signing ceremony was attended by Engineer Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Ahmed Nader, CEO of Geidea Group in Egypt, Ahmed Safwat, Regional President of Human Resources for Geidea Group in Egypt, Ahmed Magdy, Head of the Commercial Sector for Geidea Group in Egypt, Yasmin Sameh, Head of the Product Strategy Sector for Geidea Group in Egypt, and Mohamed Al-Khazraji, Head of the Sales Sector for Geidea Group in Egypt.
Under this agreement, Geidea and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology will collaborate to implement various initiatives, including Digital Egypt Builders, Digital Egypt Leaders, Digital Egypt Cubs, and Digital Egypt Talents.
The agreement also aims to support the operational center of Geidea Group in Egypt, acting as a regional hub to serve multiple countries.
This collaboration seeks to improve the quality of educational outcomes to align with global standards and meet the labor market’s demand for new specialized professions, ultimately contributing to increasing youth employment rates.
Ahmed Nader, CEO of Geidea Group in Egypt, expressed his pride in collaborating with the Egyptian government, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
He emphasized Geidea’s commitment to participating in the Digital Egypt Initiatives to create distinguished professionals in the telecommunications sector, increase specialized talents, maximize digital exports in the ICT sector, contribute to building a suitable technological environment, and empower new generations to lead and keep pace with the technological revolution envisioned by the state within the framework of Egypt’s digital strategy.
Ahmed Magdy, Head of the Commercial Sector for Geidea Group in Egypt, stated, “We are excited to work hand in hand with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as part of our commitment to supporting the Egyptian community in empowering generations and young talents to achieve a modern digital society.
According to the agreement, we will provide a series of technology awareness and seminars in various areas of the different initiatives.
We will also offer temporary practical training for over 30 students annually, provide job opportunities for initiative graduates, connect them with Geidea’s business partners for potential employment, and participate in the advisory council for the Digital Egypt Builders initiative.”
