Dubai Taxi Company has announced the launch of Bolt’s e-hailing services in Abu Dhabi, marking a key step in expanding app-based mobility services across the UAE.
The expansion builds on the strong momentum achieved through the strategic partnership between Dubai Taxi and Bolt. In 2025, Dubai Taxi recorded a 24% year-on-year increase in e-hailing activity across its taxi and limousine segments, supported by continued fleet expansion and growing customer adoption of digital booking channels.
Bolt Begins With Limousine Services in Abu Dhabi
In the first phase, Bolt will launch limousine services in Abu Dhabi, allowing customers to book rides through the app, supported by a broad network of fleet owners, drivers, and vehicles.
Taxi services are expected to follow in the coming weeks, further expanding digital mobility options for residents and visitors in the UAE capital.

Continued Growth in E-Hailing Services
The strong momentum continued into the first quarter of 2026, with Dubai Taxi recording an additional 9% growth in e-hailing services compared with the same period last year. This reflects sustained demand for app-based mobility and highlights the long-term growth potential of the UAE’s digital transport sector.
The Abu Dhabi expansion also builds on the growth of the partnership in Dubai. During the first quarter of 2026, 1,823 taxis from National Taxi in Dubai joined the Bolt platform, further expanding Bolt’s presence in the UAE.
