WAYA Media, the Egypt-based business and startup media platform under Founders Media, has announced securing a strategic investment from Foras.ai, an AI-powered investment and asset management firm, with the value of the deal undisclosed.

Founded in 2018, WAYA Media focuses on covering business, startups, and investment news across the Middle East and North Africa, while delivering analytical content tailored to founders, investors, and decision-makers.

The new investment will support the expansion of WAYA’s newsroom, the development of more data-driven content, and the strengthening of its video production capabilities, alongside the broader expansion of its Arabic platform WAYA Arabi across Egypt and the Gulf markets.

The partnership with Foras.ai reflects a shared vision to strengthen business journalism in the region by delivering deeper and more contextual coverage that explains not only what is happening in the market, but also why it matters to founders, investors, and operators.

The next phase is expected to include an increase in published stories, the launch of new content formats—particularly video and product experiences—and a stronger regional footprint, supported by wider network-driven distribution.

Gamal Helmy, Co-Founder and CEO of WAYA, said the move marks a new milestone in building a regional-first economic media platform, serving the startup and investment ecosystem across the Middle East and North Africa.
