Saudi logistics services company SAL has acquired the Belgian company Aviapartner Liège, which specializes in ground handling and air cargo services, in a deal valued at €28 million (approximately SAR 123 million).

Through the acquisition, SAL aims to expand its global presence and strengthen its position in the air logistics sector within the European market.

The agreement was signed with Aviapartner Belgium NV and Aviapartner Holding NV to acquire 100% of the share capital of Aviapartner Liège.

The acquisition represents one of SAL’s most significant steps toward expanding beyond Saudi Arabia and building an international logistics network.

The company aims to strategically grow its presence in the global air cargo market while expanding ground handling and logistics services at international airports and diversifying its revenue streams geographically.

SAL also plans to leverage Aviapartner Liège’s existing infrastructure and established relationships with airlines.

The acquisition is expected to enhance SAL’s financial performance over the long term once the integration of Aviapartner Liège is completed.
