Brookfield, a global asset management company, has announced the acquisition of Ori, a Saudi-based firm operating in the digital infrastructure and edge computing sector and backed by Wa’ed Ventures.

Under the acquisition, Ori will be integrated with Radiant Infrastructure, with the aim of reducing latency and enhancing the performance of industrial, energy, and smart city applications across the Kingdom.

The acquisition is designed to strengthen data center and edge computing capabilities as well as broader digital infrastructure within the Saudi market.

Ori has developed solutions that enable artificial intelligence workloads to be deployed closer to end users, significantly reducing latency and improving operational efficiency—an essential factor for industrial operations, energy systems, and smart city use cases.

The collaboration goes beyond deploying AI as standalone software models, focusing instead on deep technological integration, infrastructure capabilities, and accelerating the development of advanced data centers to support Brookfield’s expansion in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement also aligns with broader national ambitions to position Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for advanced computing, supported by substantial investments in data centers, digital transformation initiatives, and the Kingdom’s long-term economic diversification agenda.
