China’s artificial intelligence sector continues to accelerate, with Alibaba announcing the release of its latest model, Qwen 3.5, ahead of the Lunar New Year.

The new model is designed to understand and process text, images, and video content across more than 200 languages, reflecting Alibaba’s push to strengthen its position in the global AI landscape.

According to the company, Qwen 3.5 enables the deployment of AI agents up to five times faster than previous versions. These agents are capable of independently completing digital tasks such as filling out online forms, navigating websites, and managing multi-step workflows without direct human intervention.

The launch signals Alibaba’s continued investment in practical AI applications, particularly in the development of autonomous systems that enhance efficiency and expand real-world use cases.
