HUMAIN, a subsidiary of Public Investment Fund (PIF) specializing in delivering integrated global artificial intelligence capabilities, has launched HUMAIN Sport following its acquisition of a controlling stake in ai.io, a London-based company specializing in AI and sports technologies.
The acquisition of ai.io and the launch of HUMAIN Sport aim to expand the application of artificial intelligence across a wide range of sectors, including sports, while accelerating the development and deployment of advanced AI-powered sports solutions in Saudi Arabia and globally.
Through HUMAIN Sport, the deal supports the delivery of integrated AI platforms designed to serve the entire sports ecosystem. These solutions include:
- Expanding participation in sports
- Supporting athlete development through data-driven insights
- Enhancing performance analysis
- Developing smart sports facilities
- Innovating new forms of digital engagement and fan experiences
- HUMAIN Sport seeks to expand access to sports and improve outcomes across all levels by providing AI-powered tools directly to athletes, coaches, institutions, and fans, enabling professional-grade performance capabilities.
The acquisition allows HUMAIN to leverage ai.io’s products, technical expertise, and global industry networks, supporting international expansion and the development of new use cases.
In turn, ai.io will benefit from HUMAIN’s AI infrastructure, platforms, strategic partnerships, and operational and commercial capabilities, enabling the delivery of AI-powered sports solutions across multiple geographies and sports disciplines.
