- Venture X Invests in Croptimus to Support Sustainable Agriculture in Egypt and MENA

Venture X has announced an investment in Egyptian agri-tech startup Croptimus, which specializes in regenerative agriculture solutions and biochar production, aiming to reduce water and fertilizer consumption while enhancing sustainability in the agricultural sector.
In a statement published on its official LinkedIn page, Venture X said the investment falls under the vision of its business accelerator “Hassad”, which focuses on transforming sustainable agriculture and strengthening regional food security through innovation.
Croptimus is among the startups that graduated from the accelerator, amid growing interest in the agricultural sector and the development of technologies that support it.
The investment seeks to drive a transformation in agricultural supply chains (B2B) in Egypt and the wider region, making them more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
This is achieved through the use of bio-enhancing solutions such as biochar, maximizing value for farmers by reducing water waste, improving crop health, providing eco-friendly alternatives, and contributing to a more resilient and sustainable food system.
Ahmed Hassanein, Founder of Croptimus, said the partnership with Venture X represents a strategic collaboration aligned with the company’s innovation-driven vision, through converting agricultural and food waste into high-value biochar and sustainable bio-products.
This, he noted, helps farmers and companies reduce waste and emissions, while supporting the expansion of sustainable agricultural solutions.
He added that Croptimus is currently accelerating the deployment of its technologies in regional and international markets, aiming to create a greater environmental and economic impact.
Meanwhile, Malak Al-Ahmad, Investment Analyst at Venture X, confirmed that the investment will strengthen Croptimus’s ability to develop its products and achieve its targeted growth.
