• Qwacks announces the closing of its pre-seed funding round, raising SAR 1.8 million to support the expansion of the gaming sector in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
• Mirak Capital announces that it has led the investment round.
• Qwacks aims to enhance its operational capabilities and serve a large number of game development studios across the Kingdom.

Qwacks, the Saudi-based gaming technology company, has closed a pre-seed funding round worth SAR 1.8 million (USD 476,140).

The round was led by Mirak Capital, a firm licensed by Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority.

The investment aims to support Qwacks’ expansion plans and enhance its operational capabilities, enabling the company to better serve a growing number of game development studios in the Kingdom and across the region.

The new funding will help Qwacks continue developing core gaming technologies that empower developers to build scalable games more efficiently, without relying on external solutions that are not adapted to local market needs.

The company is currently building a unified technology layer that simplifies the entire game development lifecycle.

Its platform includes three key products:

Flock, a backend-as-a-service (BaaS) designed for scalable multiplayer games; Protokite, an AI-powered game testing system that connects developers with real players; and DataDuck, a market analytics platform that aggregates data from multiple sources to help studios evaluate ideas and identify commercial opportunities.

These tools collectively aim to enable studios to move quickly from concept to launch, supported by data-driven decision-making.

Abdullah AlSharif, Vice President at Mirak Capital, commented that the investment aligns with the fund’s strategy to support talent and platforms shaping the future of gaming in Saudi Arabia, highlighting that Qwacks is addressing a critical technological gap in the local ecosystem.

Anas AlSahli, CEO and Co-Founder of Qwacks, added that the round marks a pivotal milestone for the company, allowing it to accelerate development of its unified platform and deliver more advanced tools to developers to improve game quality and speed up production cycles.
