Anthropic has announced the completion of a $65 billion Series H funding round, valuing the artificial intelligence company at $965 billion post-money, marking one of the largest fundraising rounds in the history of the AI industry.

The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, with participation from a broad group of global institutional and strategic investors.

The company said growing adoption of its AI assistant Claude has continued to accelerate, with annualized run-rate revenue surpassing $47 billion earlier this month as enterprises and individual users increasingly integrate Claude into daily operations and workflows.

According to Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic, the new capital will support the company’s safety and interpretability research, expand compute infrastructure to meet rising demand, and scale the products and partnerships that customers rely on.

The financing round also attracted investments from major firms including Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, ICONIQ, and XN, alongside global investors such as Blackstone, Fidelity, General Catalyst, MGX, and Temasek.

The funding package includes $15 billion in previously committed investments from hyperscale cloud providers, including $5 billion from Amazon.

To support future growth, Anthropic revealed a series of infrastructure agreements that significantly expand its computing capacity.

These include agreements with Amazon for up to five gigawatts of additional capacity, as well as partnerships with Google and Broadcom to access five gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity.

The company also signed an agreement with SpaceX to access GPU resources through Colossus 1 and Colossus 2, strengthening its ability to deploy and scale advanced AI models.

Anthropic noted that Claude has become the first frontier AI model available across the world’s three largest cloud platforms—Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure—while AWS remains its primary cloud provider and training partner.

Investors participating in the round said Anthropic is well-positioned to lead the next phase of AI innovation as enterprises increasingly rely on advanced AI systems to manage complex workflows and business operations
