- US-Based Inventel Acquires Amazulut to Boost AdTech and E-commerce Sector
- The deal enhances Amazulut’s capabilities as an Amazon-certified partner, managing advertising campaigns for over 850 brands across more than eight markets
Inventel has announced its full acquisition of Amazulut, a Cairo-based advertising technology startup, in a deal with undisclosed financial terms, according to Ahmed Hefny, the company’s co-founder and former CEO.
The acquisition is set to enhance Amazulut’s capabilities as an authorized partner of Amazon, where it manages advertising and marketing campaigns for more than 850 brands across over eight markets, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
Amazulut has generated nearly $92 million in sales for its clients, delivering an average return of 4.3x on ad spend.
The company operates as a smart intermediary for Amazon sellers, optimizing product visibility in search results, managing ad campaigns, and refining pricing and listing strategies to drive higher conversion rates.
Hefny highlighted that Amazulut’s strength lies in its combination of operational expertise, strong partnerships, scalable systems, and a highly experienced team capable of managing large-scale e-commerce operations.
Regarding the post-acquisition phase, Hefny confirmed he no longer holds any role within the company, noting that the next stage will focus on scaling operations and leveraging Inventel’s broader platform and marketing capabilities.
The deal aligns with Inventel’s strategy to achieve vertical integration across the value chain—from sourcing and production to direct-response marketing—enabling greater control over product performance and conversion rates within e-commerce platforms.
It also reflects a growing trend of US companies acquiring regional tech firms, particularly in digital media and infrastructure, reinforcing Cairo’s position as a rising regional hub for digital services.
