The Saudi Central Bank “SAMA” has granted Aij Finance a license to conduct SME financing and consumer finance activities, bringing the total number of licensed finance companies in the Kingdom to 71.
In an official statement, SAMA said the decision comes as part of its efforts to support the financing sector, enhance the efficiency and flexibility of financial transactions, and encourage innovation in financial services.
The move also aims to strengthen financial inclusion in Saudi Arabia and expand access to financial services for all segments of society.
SAMA further emphasized the importance of dealing only with financial institutions that are licensed or authorized by the authority.
It also noted that the status of licensed institutions can be verified through the official website of the Saudi Central Bank.
