Basil Rahmy:

  • Ongoing Engagements with University Students to Support Entrepreneurship
  • MSMEDA Offers Services to Entrepreneurs to Assist in Preparing Feasibility Studies
  • The Egyptian State is Committed to Empowering Youth to Launch Their Own Startups

Basil Rahmy, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA), affirmed the agency’s commitment to maintaining regular and ongoing engagement with university students.

This is achieved through the organization of numerous awareness seminars aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and highlighting the various support services offered by the state to this vital sector.

MSMEDA Services

MSMEDA provides a wide range of services to entrepreneurs, including financial support through diverse funding mechanisms, as well as non-financial services such as free awareness programs and training to help youth establish and manage their small businesses.

These services include guidance in selecting the right project, preparing feasibility studies, and offering administrative and marketing consultations for existing businesses.

Additionally, the agency helps young people turn their creative ideas into economically viable projects.

Rahmy stated:

“The agency continuously seeks to strengthen cooperation with Egyptian universities, both public and private, across all governorates, Our goal is to guide youth on how to properly achieve their ambitions and establish projects that align with their academic specializations and practical knowledge.”

He added that the agency also aims to raise awareness among young people about the services provided by the state to empower them and make it easier to launch their own businesses.

This opens new horizons toward a sustainable and prosperous professional future.

Rahmy called on university students to participate in the training programs and seminars that MSMEDA organizes in cooperation with their universities.

These sessions are designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the field of entrepreneurship and motivate them to pursue self-employment—an endeavor that often yields significantly greater financial returns than traditional job markets, in addition to broader opportunities for growth and success.

Dr. Raafat Abbas, Deputy CEO of MSMEDA, stated:
