The Financial Regulatory Authority(FRA) has approved the introduction of electronic customer identification (e-KYC) in Egypt for MNT-Halan, a company specializing in the financial technology sector in MENA.

This approval positively impacts MNT-Halan’s ability to offer users a seamless digital experience.

The approval enhances MNT-Halan’s capabilities to digitize all financial transactions for users, including obtaining financing and activating accounts via mobile applications, providing opportunities for investment at any time.

Mounir Nakhlah, Founder and CEO of MNT-Halan, confirmed that the approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority of Egypt for the e-KYC service is a significant step in facilitating financial transactions for customers.

This contributes to providing financing to millions of individual clients and startups, supporting Egypt’s efforts to implement financial inclusion technologies.

MNT-Halan was founded 7 years ago, in 2018, and is Egypt’s first “unicorn” company in the financial services sector, offering loans to startups and individuals through prepaid cards and e-wallets, as well as e-commerce services through its app.
