Roblox Launches Its Platform in Arabic Worldwide

The interactive gaming and creativity platform Roblox has announced its availability in Arabic for all users worldwide across desktop computers, tablets, Android and iOS mobile devices, as well as PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles.
This announcement was made by David Baszucki, CEO and co-founder of Roblox, during his participation in the World Government Summit 2025, held in Dubai from February 11 to 13 under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”

Baszucki stated: “Our mission is to connect millions of people around the world in a positive environment that fosters creativity and communication. To achieve this, it is essential that our platform is accessible to everyone.
As our community continues to grow in the UAE and across the region, we are delighted to announce Arabic language support on Roblox, enabling millions of Arabic speakers worldwide to access the platform’s features and enjoy an immersive experience across all devices.”
Roblox currently boasts 88.9 million active users worldwide.
The interactive platform brings people together to play, create, explore, and learn through millions of virtual experiences and immersive games designed by a global community of creators. The company aims to redefine digital interaction in a safe and positive environment.
This expansion reflects the platform’s growing popularity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, where Arabic has become one of the 16 supported languages.
In 2024, Roblox ranked #2 and #5 among the most downloaded gaming apps on the iOS App Store and Google Play, respectively.
Between Q3 2021 and Q3 2024, the platform recorded an 80% increase in daily active users and a 76% rise in total engagement hours across five countries in the region.
Advanced Arabic Language Features
Arabic language support on Roblox includes AI-powered translation tools, allowing creators to develop and launch immersive experiences in any of the 16 available languages, including Arabic, without the need for manual translation oversight.
Additionally, automated Arabic chat moderation technology is now available, enabling the detection and filtering of inappropriate words and phrases.
This feature is one of many tools used by Roblox to enhance human moderation and enforce community standards, ensuring a safe and positive environment for users.

Originally launched nearly 20 years ago as a physics education tool, Roblox has since evolved into a thriving global community of over 2.9 million creators, managing more than 6 million active experiences on the platform.
