Tamkeen Partners with Brinc to Launch Open Innovation Program in Bahrain

The Labour Fund “Tamkeen” has signed a partnership agreement with “Brinc” to launch an Open Innovation Program aimed at supporting large companies in Bahrain to overcome the challenges they face by leveraging innovative solutions provided by start-ups, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The program, in its first edition, will focus on leading Bahraini companies in the manufacturing, financial services, and telecommunications sectors.

Challenges faced by these companies will be assessed, and these companies will be connected with start-ups and SMEs to collaborate on developing innovative solutions to address these challenges.

This collaboration will encourage start-ups and SMEs with at least one year of experience to develop technological solutions and innovative services that enhance business efficiency and sustainability.

The partnership also offers these businesses the opportunity to expand their customer base and form business agreements with large companies.

“Tamkeen” will provide support during the early-stage development of the solutions for the projects, according to statements made by Maha Mofeez, the CEO of Tamkeen.

She explained that this program is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the business environment in Bahrain, and it is a strategic priority for this year.

The initiative aims to build bridges of collaboration between large companies and start-ups and SMEs that have the potential to deliver innovative solutions.

Mofeez added that the agreement will help strengthen opportunities for constructive partnerships, thereby fostering the growth of start-ups and SMEs while providing large companies with specialized solutions that meet their needs and contribute to the development of their operations.
