Vezeeta Expands Digital Healthcare Services in Saudi Arabia and the UAE
Vezeeta, a platform specializing in medical service bookings and clinic management in the Middle East and Africa, has launched an innovation hub named “Vezeeta Lab”.
This initiative aims to identify new opportunities in Gulf markets, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The platform announced a partnership agreement with VISA, a leader in digital payments, and NymCard, a financial technology service provider, to enhance operational processes and improve the experience for both users and healthcare providers.
This collaboration will introduce innovative and rapid payment solutions.
These solutions leverage cutting-edge financial technologies to facilitate financial transactions between patients and healthcare providers, streamlining booking and payment processes through the platform. The goal is to create a comprehensive ecosystem for digital healthcare services and improve their quality for patients.
Choucri Asmar, Head of Institutional Development and responsible for Vezeeta Lab, stated that these steps align with the Egyptian government and central bank’s efforts to activate electronic payment and collection services, aiming for a cashless society while enhancing healthcare services for citizens.
He explained that the central bank is looking to expand operations into foreign markets, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Libya, Iraq, and Nigeria.
The focus is on developing relationships with healthcare providers, facilitating electronic payment methods, and building partnerships with relevant entities.
Asmar emphasized that the Saudi market holds significant potential for Vezeeta’s business growth and the expansion of its services within the Arab region, ultimately aiming for access to Africa.
